Maryanne Nicholls

Maryanne Nicholls works across drawing, ceramics and, more recently, printmaking. Her work explores movement through the human body, often drawing on classical sculpture for inspiration. In all mediums, her figures take on a fragmentary nature, which she hopes gives a feeling of fragility to her work. Her prints explore the carborundum technique, which allows for free gestural mark-making on the printing plate. Maryanne Nicholls shows in London and in Suffolk.
